The UI Health Plans Customer Care Services staff is available to help you with your questions and concerns regarding UIChoice, UIGRADCare, and SHIP. In addition, the staff can help you with claim questions, as well as act as a liaison between you, your providers, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

The UI Health Plans Customer Care Services telephone number is 319-356-8442 or 800-356-8442. After business hours, your call is directed to the UI Health Plans Customer Care Services office voice mail, where a representative will return your call the next business day or if you have medical questions or support is needed immediately, your call will be directed to the UI Health Access. UI Health Access offers telephone triage and access to nurses with special training, who can provide health advice over the telephone.

If you are concerned about access to providers for certain conditions or symptoms, we encourage you to schedule an appointment or speak to a clinic nurse about your health care needs.
If you are uncomfortable with your appointment(s) as scheduled, and have discussed your concern with the clinic team, you may call the UI Health Plans Customer Care Services Office to speak to a Case Manager about your condition and concerns. The Health Plans Case Manager will work with you and the providers involved to assist in resolving the issue.
