Our survivor gallery features women ranging in age from their 20s to their 90s, with many types of cardiovascular disease. Some were born with hereditary heart conditions or risk factors. Others experienced heart problems as a result of other health issues or aging.
Many dismissed or ignored warning signs because they were busy looking after others or simply didn’t believe heart disease could happen to them. Several have changed their lifestyles to focus on what is really important in life, like eating a healthy diet, exercising and managing stress. All have fought heart disease and won, and we are honored to have them participate in our survivor gallery.
