Volunteer opportunities include dedicating time to lead a STEM Education session, become a departmental liason/ambassador, donate new or gently used STEM supplies or help develop new curriculum or engaging activities.

College Student Volunteer Opportunites

UI Health Care STEM Education Outreach Education Leaders (OELs) will lead school-aged student groups to various departments throughout UI Health Care for interactive tours and experiences during their visits.  UI Health Care Outreach Education Leaders will present educational PowerPoints and lead STEM Education sessions while interacting and discussing future health care careers with the students. Being an Outreach Education Leader provides an inside look at many areas within the hopsital, networking opportunities with faculty, staff and graduate students in University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and UI Carver College of Medicine and a rewarding experience.  Recommended qualities include leadership skills and an interest in the health care field.  Tours usually last 2-4 hours Monday-Friday.

If interested, please complete the following form: Outreach Education Leader Volunteer Form.
