Menopause is time in a woman's life when her periods eventually stop and the body goes through changes that no longer allow her to get pregnant. These changes often come with side effects, like hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. While menopause can’t be avoided, there are ways to manage your symptoms. At this month’s Dinner with a Doc seminar, the chef will do a short cooking presentation. Then, while you are enjoying a delicious meal, Marygrace Elson, MD, MME will present the following:
- Signs and symptoms of menopause
- Tests to determine hormone levels
- Risks and benefits to hormone therapy
- Alternatives to hormone therapy
