Influenza Vaccination Program
The University Employee Health Clinic provides influenza vaccinations to all University of Iowa employees in various locations across campus, including at UI Hospitals and Clinics. We offer both injectable influenza vaccine (shot) and intranasal spray (mist). Many factors determine which vaccine is right for you. Learn more by clicking the “Flu Facts” tab below.
UI Health Care Employees
Are you a UI Health Care employee?
UI Health Care includes UI Hospitals and Clinics, the UI Carver College of Medicine, and UI Physicians.

Non-UI Health Care Employees
Are you a Non-UI Health Care Employee?
Non-UI Health Care employees work in colleges and departments other than UI Hospitals and Clinics or Carver College of Medicine. This includes faculty and staff in all other health colleges including the College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Dentistry, and the College of Public Health.
Eligibility Requirements: UI employees in a 50% or greater, regular position are eligible to receive a free flu vaccine. UI faculty and staff not eligible may pay with an $11 check made out to "University Employee Health Clinic."
The 2012 influenza vaccination program for non-UI Health Care employees begins on Thursday, October 25. A valid University ID must be presented.

Each year in the United States, more than 200,000 people are hospitalized for influenza and about 36,000 die. Annual vaccination helps stop the spread of influenza to our families, our co-workers, and ourselves.
