Cancer Research

University of Iowa researchers affiliated with Holden Comprehensive
Cancer Center work to discover more about the origins, prevention,
development and treatment of cancer. They are focused on translating
research advances in the laboratory to advances in patient care.
The university is fortunate to have many investigators who are pursuing
innovative approaches to treating cancer in the laboratory and in
clinical settings. This translation of laboratory investigations to
patient care is one of the most exciting features of a university-based
cancer center.
