A registered nurse is on call to help IowaCare participants with emergency or urgent health care decisions. This service is provided by UI Hospitals and Clinics. It is available by calling 866-890-5966.
The Nurse Helpline
- helps callers know when to call 911
- helps callers know when to go to the emergency room
- helps callers choose appropriate health care services
