September 29 - FYI - Although Ignacio Ponseti passed away in 2009, Jose Morcuende, MD, continues to advance his mentor’s legacy by taking the Ponseti Method for clubfoot treatment around the world.
September 23 - KCRG - UI Dance Marathon will provide $5 million in support over the next 10 years for the new UI Children's Hospital building.
September 18 - Iowa State Daily - Dance Marathon hosted its kick-off event for the year with Teal Wheels, an eight-mile bike ride through the Ames community.
September 15 - Washington Examiner - Researchers at the University of Iowa's visual sciences department have received a five-year, $1.6 million grant from the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
September 15 - Daily Iowan - The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics was recently named to the 2011 "Most Wired" list, compiled by Hospitals and Health Networks and also placed on the sixth stage of seven on U.S. News & World Report's Most Connected list.
September 13 - Eastern Iowa Life - Volunteers and children sewed pillowcases on Tuesday in the pediatric unit of UI Children's Hospital. The pillowcases serve as an activity for sick children in hospitals to brighten their day and recognize National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
September 4 - Press-Citizen - UI Children's Hospital's unique feeding program helps about 12 children between ages 6 months and 10 years every year, teaching them where to place food in their mouth and how to chew and swallow.
