How to Read Your Bill
Your statement has three sections:
Statement Summary
The statement summary section outlines
all basic account information, including:
- Previous Statement Amount
- New Charges
- Payments/Adjustments
- Amount You Owe
- Date Due
Important Information About This Account
Page 2 provides where to turn to for help, including:
- Filing claims
- Insurance coverage
- Payments
- Financial assistance
Account Detail
This section provides a description of services
provided that comprise the billing statement, including:
- Description of charges
- Payments
- Adjustments
- Insurance claim number – this number appears on the
Explanation of Benefits (EOB) notice from your insurance company.
The Account Detail page provides all payments and adjustments received since your last statement. The amount you owe includes any new charges since your last statement for which you are now responsible
