University of Nebraska
My name is Ahmad (AJ) Yusuf and I am a graduate of University of Nebraska College of Medicine.
I studied different specialties during the course of my medical school and realized that I have a passion for primary care medicine. I chose family medicine because of the broad scope of practice including inpatient, outpatient, obstetrics and multiple procedures. I also find it amazing to be able to work with a heterogeneous patient population including pediatrics, adults and geriatrics. Continuity of care and focus on preventive medicine are other aspects of family medicine that makes it special to me.
My areas of interest include preventive medicine, rural medicine, international health and medical education.
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is one of the biggest academic centers in the Midwest and a leader in primary care medicine. I am very happy to be a part of this institution.
