2012-2013 Medical, Dental, Hospitalization and Pharmacy Coverage

We have developed an extensive program to provide care for house staff and their dependents for medical, pharmacy, dental, and counseling care as well as hospitalization.

Services rendered at UI Hospitals and Clinics are covered at 100 percent through this plan.

We provide 100 percent pharmacy coverage for generic medications and select others found on the House Staff Prescription Benefit Guide.

We provide comprehensive dental care under a Delta Dental of Iowa insurance plan.

House staff and their dependents are eligible for care through a number of UI Hospitals and Clinics counseling services.

Health care benefits begin on the effective date of the house staff member's contract. For most PGY-1 staff, that would be July 1.
