I am originally from Indianapolis, but most recently come from Boston where I graduated from medical school. I enjoy watching movies, hanging out with friends, and watching Hawkeye and Colts football. Living in Iowa City is an absolute blast, and I enjoy the many restaurants and activities the city has to offer.

I was born at the University of Iowa during my father's urology residency training. I attended the University of Washington and Duke University School of Medicine. I love to teach and hope to incorporate medical student or resident training into my future practice. I enjoy spending time with my wife and friends, golfing, bike riding, traveling, trying new restaurants, being active in my church and exploring the great state of Iowa!

I moved from Kansas City with my husband, Kyle, and our chocolate lab, Ruby, to start my urology residency in 2010. I am very pleased with my choice in training programs and Iowa City has a lot to offer. My free time is usually spent outdoors with my family. My future career plans include a four-year commitment to the Air Force following residency, and after that we’ll have to see where life takes us!

I made a good decision choosing where to complete my urology training. We have a great group of residents who make you feel welcome. Iowa City is a town with a Midwest feel and a strong community base, but is also culturally progressive with lots of leisure activities. Quality schools and activities for young families like mine are great. We’ve enjoyed our time raising our two daughters, balancing residency and time outside the hospital
