Center of Excellence in Image-guided Radiation Therapy
As a key component of Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, the UI Department of Radiation Oncology lives out the mission
of patient care, research, and education. The departmental motto is “Centered on Excellence – Focused on You”.
The UI Department of Radiation Oncology provides radiation therapy treatments for both adults and children including 4D radiation therapy in a home-like atmosphere
through the Center of Excellence in Image-guided Radiation Therapy.
In addition, the department advances research through public funding and private donations.
The department also offers educational programs including radiation oncology residency, radiation technology, free radical and radiation therapy biology, and medical
