Study to Determine if Geographical Location Impacts Decisions on Fertility Treatment
Description

University of Iowa Departments of Obstetrics / Gynecology and Geography researchers are interested in how who you are and where you live impacts the decisions you make about fertility treatment.

You may be eligible if you:

    • are a man or a woman
    • are between the ages of 21-55
    • have tried unsuccessfully to have a baby for at least 12 months at any time in the past

You can participate whether or not you have ever seen a doctor for this issue.

Participation involves completing a 15-minute online survey. Your responses to the survey will be confidential, and not linked to your name. However, we ask for characteristics such as your age and zip code, and what treatment you have had in the past for infertility. You may feel free to not answer any questions. If we write a report about this study, we will do so in such a way that you cannot be identified. Agreeing or declining to participate in this study will not impact your healthcare.

There are no costs associated with being in this study. Compensation for participation is a $15 check, issued upon completion of the survey.

The principal investigator for this study is Ginny Ryan, MD. Dr. Ryan may be reached at ginny-ryan@uiowa.edu or at (319) 384-9170.
