The Autism Center at the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital invites individuals with autism to enroll in a research registry. A registry is a list of people who are willing to be contacted about on-going and future research studies. Enrolling in the registry won’t obligate you to participate in studies, it just means that you might be notified of them and invited to participate.
This registry is for anyone with an autism spectrum disorder such as autism, Asperger’s disorder, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder-NOS. The University of Iowa currently has active research in many areas related to autism spectrum disorders, including treatment, genetics, and assessment.
You may enroll yourself or, if you are a parent of a child with an autism spectrum disorder, you may enroll yourself and your child.
