Description

Improving Pelvic Cancer Patient Chemoradiotherapy Outcomes with FLT PET Imaging

Participants in this research study have been diagnosed with a type of pelvic cancer and it has been recommended they receive radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy.
The purpose of this research study is to learn if a new imaging study, Positron Emission Tomography / Computerized Tomography (PET/CT) scan using F-18 Fluorothymidine (FLT), can be used for the radiation treatment planning. 

Approximately 30 people will take part in this study conducted by investigators at the University of Iowa.
