A Phase 2b, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Multinational, Multicenter, Randomized Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of Intracoronary Administration of MYDICAR® (AAV1/SERCA2a) in Subjects With Heart Failure. The purpose of this trial is to assess whether MYDICAR can reduce the frequency and/or delay heart failure related hospitalizations in persons with advanced heart failure when added to their maximal and optimized therapy.

A Randomized Phase II Trial of Carboplatin, Paclitaxel, Bevacizumab, with or without Everolimus for Therapy of Metastatic Malignant Melanoma
Participants in this research study have been diagnosed with Stage IV malignant melanoma (melanoma that has spread to other parts of the body) which cannot be removed with surgery. The purpose of this study is to find out what effects (good and bad) the combination of the study drugs (Carboplatin, paclitaxel, bevacizumab and everolimus) has on the participant and the melanoma. Approximately 7 people will take part in this study conducted by Investigators at the University of Iowa. Participation in the study will continue until cancer becomes worse or participant or Doctor decide to end the treatment.

Participants in this research study have been diagnosed with a type of soft tissue sarcoma called liposarcoma that has spread to other parts of the body or is not able to be removed with surgery. This research study is being performed at about 8 clinics across the United States and approximately 38 people will participate. The purpose of the study is to see if the study drug pazopanib is safe and effective with subjects with liposarcoma.

Improving Pelvic Cancer Patient Chemoradiotherapy Outcomes with FLT PET Imaging
Participants in this research study have been diagnosed with a type of pelvic cancer and it has been recommended they receive radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy. The purpose of this research study is to learn if a new imaging study, Positron Emission Tomography / Computerized Tomography (PET/CT) scan using F-18 Fluorothymidine (FLT), can be used for the radiation treatment planning.
Approximately 30 people will take part in this study conducted by investigators at the University of Iowa.

Multicenter Phase II Study of MK-2206 in Previously Treated Patients with Recurrent and Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
Participants in this research study have been diagnosed with advanced nasopharyngeal cancer. The purpose of this research study is to find out what effects, good and/or bad, an investigational drug called MK-2206 has on the participant and the nasopharyngeal cancer. Approximately 6 people will take part in this study conducted by investigators at the University of Iowa. Study involvement will last for approximately 3 years.
