The Cardiovascular and Genetics program provides clinical evaluation, genetic testing, and management recommendations for patients and their families. Both impatient and outpatient consultative services are provided by a core group of faculty members. Other members of the team include nurse coordinator Rebecca Gutmann, RN, BSN, and a genetic counselor.
The outpatient service comprises several clinics specializing in:
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM)
Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)
Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC)
Inherited arrhythmias (“channelopathies” such as Brugada syndrome, LQTS, SQTS, CPVT, etc.)
Neuromuscular disorders (Becker and Duchenne muscular dystrophy, myotonic dystrophy, etc.)
