Support and Spiritual Care
During your visit, and anytime before or after, you are welcome to contact the professionals in our services that aim to provide support and spiritual care.
Your health and well-being can have a spiritual component. Our chaplains recognize the importance of faith in facing a health crisis, and they offer spiritual support, care, and counsel to assist you with spiritual issues related to your illness and hospitalization.
Our philosophy of patient- and family-centered health care informs how we approach the planning, delivery, and evaluation of your care.
During your hospital stay or as a follow up to your treatment at UI Hospitals and Clinics, you may wish to participate in a support group with others who share your condition.
The UI Hospitals and Clinics Department of Social Service provides services to patients, and their families, which enable them to make the best use of health care resources.
Religious services conducted at UI Hospitals and Clinics are open to patients, family, visitors, and staff.
You have many rights and responsibilities as our patient. To share a concern or complaint, please contact any staff member or contact the Office of Patient Relations at 319-356-1802.
