Project Linus to Provide Blankets to UI Children's Hospital
November 22, 2011
Volunteers will hold their third annual Project Linus blanket-making event from noon to 7 p.m. Friday, December 2, at the University of Iowa Theatre Building.
UI student Kizzy Marco continues her successful efforts to make and donate fleece blankets to pediatric patients at University of Iowa Children's Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Project Linus is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide comfort and security to children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Faculty, students, and community members are invited to bring their own blanket materials and spend the day making blankets. The blankets are made by tying materials together, which means the ability to sew is not necessary.
For more information, or to find out how to get involved, contact Marco at 312-307-3775 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
