The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency is an ASHP-accredited residency program designed to provide concentrated training in clinical practice and administration of health-system pharmacy. This two-year residency also includes the completion of a masters degree through the University of Iowa. The PGY1 year focuses on pharmacy practice, providing experience in all aspects of patient-focused care. The structure of the first year follows the UIHC PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program. The PGY2 year provides training in health-system pharmacy administration, building off the clinical and leadership skills developed in the PGY1 year.
