How to Apply
Iowa's Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (NPM) Fellowship Program accepts up to 3 new fellows annually with a maximum of 8 fellows at a time. We strongly encourage applicants to make an exploratory phone
or e-mail contact with our program director, faculty, and/or fellows
before applying to our program.
Applicants who come for on–site
interviews will have a portion of their visit costs covered. Applicants to our program must be currently
enrolled in, or have successfully completed, an ACGME-accredited
pediatric residency program.
While our program is a participant in
the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and accepts ERAS
applications, we accept applicants outside of the match under special
circumstances, e.g., start time other than July 1, PSDP Program applicants, PSTP Program applicants,
etc.
We ask that 3 or more letters of
recommendation (LoR) be completed using the Organization
of Neonatology Training Program Directors' “NPM LoR”
form letter.
All Iowa training programs are committed
to fostering gender, ethnic, and racial diversity.
