• Welcome

The Department of Pharmaceutical Care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics offers an ASHP accredited PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency. Early committal to the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency will be available to current residents in the PGY1 Ambulatory Care focused track and may also be an option for those completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at UIHC. However, when available, a one year PGY2 option also exists for those candidates with a prior PGY1 Pharmacy Residency. The overall purpose of completing the UIHC PGY1 and/or PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency programs is to acquire new and more in depth knowledge of Ambulatory Care. Applicants for this residency must be eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa and must be graduates of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
