    The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency is designed to provide concentrated training in clinical practice and administration of health-system pharmacy. The resident will obtain advanced knowledge in clinical practice and expertise in pharmacy administration, management, and leadership activities.

    The PGY1 year focuses on pharmacy practice, providing experience in all aspects of patient-focused care. The structure of the first year follows the UIHC PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program. The PGY2 year provides training in health-system pharmacy administration, building off the clinical and leadership skills developed in the PGY1 year.

    This program currently holds candidate status for ASHP accreditation.
