I was born at the University of Iowa during my father's urology residency training. I attended the University of Washington and Duke University School of Medicine. I love to teach and hope to incorporate medical student or resident training into my future practice. I enjoy spending time with my wife and friends, golfing, bike riding, traveling, trying new restaurants, being active in my church and exploring the great state of Iowa!

I moved from Kansas City with my husband, Kyle, and our chocolate lab, Ruby, to start my urology residency in 2010. I am very pleased with my choice in training programs and Iowa City has a lot to offer. My free time is usually spent outdoors with my family. My future career plans include a four-year commitment to the Air Force following residency, and after that we’ll have to see where life takes us!

I moved to Iowa City from Chicago, where I grew up and attended Rush Medical College. I enjoy live music, being outside, and Chicago Bears football. Iowa was a perfect choice for residency given its great spectrum of training, resident camaraderie and easy living of Iowa City.
