Hannah Klein

  • Hometown: Iowa City
  • Undergraduate School: Brown University
  • Medical School: Harvard Medical School
  • Before Medical School (list items you enjoyed doing, jobs you had, etc): Foreign Travel, Spanish Language, Teakwondo, Research
  • Medical Interest: Clinical and Basic Research, Neuroinflammatory disorders, Seizures, Stroke
  • Why Iowa? ¬†Iowa has a great neurology program and is located in a small but diverse community. It is a great place to raise a family. Cost of living is great. There are very few other programs that simultaneously have a high caliber of staff and diversity of patients, while also a location that promotes family life.
  • Future Plans: I will continue on a clinical research track. I plan to do a fellowship in a subspecialty of neurology (I am not sure which one yet). I have an NIH research fellowship to fulfill at the end of Residency/Fellowship that will bring me to Bethesda for a few years. After that, hopefully I can return to Iowa as Staff.
