Sarah Osborne, MD
University of Minnesota
I grew up in Ham Lake, MN, a northern suburb of the Twin Cities, and went to college not too far away at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where I majored in Biology and Physiology. Although I grew up in the cities, I’ve always known that I want to live out in the country someday, so I spent a few summers shadowing and doing research projects at my uncle’s rural family medicine clinic in Cloquet, MN to check it out. From there I attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and Twin Cities where I did a rural training program, volunteered at a hospital in Tanzania, and solidified my passion for family medicine. I am so excited to be at UIHC, a hospital that serves both serves a large rural population, and offers the learning benefits of an outstanding academic hospital. My current interests within family medicine include women’s health, rural medicine, obstetrics, and pediatrics.
I married my medical school sweetheart, Tyler, who is starting his emergency medicine residency at UIHC this year. We love to spend our free time exploring Iowa City - it’s a fun, vibrant college town full of options for restaurants, parks, shopping - you name it! My hobbies are traveling, hiking, playing tennis, cooking, hunting, and getting back up to Minnesota to visit family, friends, and our lake cabin when I can. Feel free to email me with any questions!
