Wellness, Support, and Social Opportunities
Social activities for residents, faculty, and staff are held throughout the year.
The picnic is held in early July at the Terry Trueblood Recreation Area for the incoming residents and their families to meet with faculty and staff from the Family Medicine department and clinic.
A holiday party is held each December for Family Medicine faculty, residents, staff, and their families.
A graduation ceremony and dinner is held in June to honor the graduating residents and fellows. This evening is one of celebration and farewell. It represents an opportunity for each of us to congratulate the graduating residents for their dedication and hard work as well as to express our thanks for their efforts on behalf of our patients and the program.
A Resident Retreat is held mid-year. The retreat is held out of town and is intended to give the residents and their families an opportunity to relax and socialize. A brief program includes class meetings and presentations by speakers selected by the residents. All residents are released from service and call responsibilities during their retreat and the faculty covers the Family Medicine Service.
Most importantly, our residents enjoy spending time with one another and organize social activities in their homes as well as monthly outings.
