We will interview approximately 20 candidates for 2 positions beginning in October and ending in January.
- What should I expect the night before my interview?
A relaxing dinner out with residents from internal medicine-psychiatry, categorical internal medicine, or categorical psychiatry programs at a restaurant, courtesy of the University of Iowa. This affords applicants a chance to ask questions about the program "off the record" as well as socialize with potential future colleagues.
- What should I expect on the interview day?
The interview day will start in internal medicine in the morning and conclude in psychiatry in the afternoon. A typical interview includes an overview of the program, time to meet with key faculty as well as residents from each year of the program, and a tour of the facilities. The day concludes around 4 pm.
We suggest business attire for your interview day.
