The University of Iowa is one of thirteen translational research centers for the CF Foundation and as such plays a central role in CF related clinical trials. We are also privileged to be one of the first funded university programs with a Clinical & Translational Science Award (CTSA). We have a variety of clinically oriented fellowship training options including:
- Masters of Public Health
- Masters in Medical Education:
- Masters in Clinical Investigation: A 2-year interdisciplinary program designed for post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty from the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy pursuing careers in clinical research. This program provides a structured didactic curriculum in research methods in the context of a mentored research experience.
- Masters or PhD in Translational Biomedicine: One of a few such programs in the U.S., the program trains clinical scientists in hypothesis-oriented, patient-based research allowing trainees to transcend traditional academic disciplines and conduct state-of-the-art, innovative research.
