About the Program
Wellness, Support and Social Opportunities
Wellness, Support, and Social Opportunities
Social activities for residents, faculty, and staff are held throughout the year.
A residency picnic is scheduled early July for the incoming residents and their families to meet with faculty and staff from the Family Medicine department and clinic.
A holiday party is held each December for Family Medicine faculty, residents, staff, and their families.
Graduation is held in June to honor the graduating residents and fellows.
A Resident Retreat is held mid-year. The retreat is held out of town and is intended to give the residents and their families an opportunity to relax and socialize. A brief program includes class meetings and presentations by speakers selected by the residents. All residents are released from service and call responsibilities during their retreat and the faculty covers the Family Medicine Service.
Most importantly, our residents enjoy spending time with one another and organize social activities in their homes as well as monthly outings to the local apple orchard, Halloween party, karaoke, and mystery dinners to name a few.
