Fellowship training is an exciting, challenging and rewarding final step towards becoming a pediatric gastroenterologist. At the University of Iowa we offer a comprehensive training program that provides trainees with the needed skills and knowledge to take care of children and adolescents with a variety of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. We grant in-depth research exposure (basic, translational and/or clinical) and offer unique and ample procedural training including stricture management, foreign body removal and placement of various feeding devices.
We therefore prepare our graduates to become successful researchers, confident clinicians and leaders in the field. We see this as a great opportunity and responsibility to enable you to achieve your goals and create the pediatric gastroenterologists of the future.
