The Department of Pharmaceutical Care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics offers a 12-month PGY2 residency in pediatric pharmacy practice. Patient focused care is emphasized in this comprehensive training program conducted in a large health care system. The residency is designed to develop the skills required to solve the complex medication related problems presented in today’s health care and pediatric medicine. Elective time is available for individualizing the program to meet the resident’s interests and career needs. Early commitment to the PGY2 Pediatrics Residency may be an option for those completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at UIHC.
