Anybody can participate in clinical research. Whether you are completely healthy, need to improve your habits, or are living with a disease, chances are there’s a study out there that’s just waiting for you.

Study participation can be as simple as filling out a questionnaire, maintaining a diary, taking new medications, or using new devices such as pacemakers or hearing aids. Others are more complex.

You don’t need to outrun trains, leap over tall buildings, or even have x-ray vision to be a University of Iowa Research Hero.

All you have to do is:
