A bone marrow transplant is a procedure in which doctors use high doses of anticancer drugs or radiation to destroy the patient’s diseased marrow and then give the patient healthy marrow as a replacement.

- Where a patient receives their own stem cells.

- Where the patient receives stem cells from a family member or an unrelated individual.
