Cultivo rectal

El examen de cultivo rectal se realiza introduciendo un hisopo (palillo recubierto de algodón en sus puntas) en el recto. El hisopo se rota suavemente y luego se retira. El frotis extraído en el hisopo se coloca en un medio de cultivo para estimular el crecimiento de microorganismos. El propósito del examen es aislar e identificar organismos en el recto que pueden causar síntomas y/ o enfermedad gastrointestinal.Cultivo rectal
