Meningococcemia en la pierna

La meningococcemia es una infección peligrosa que ocurre cuando el meningococo Neisseria meningitidis invade el torrente sanguíneo. Por lo general hay sangrado dentro de la piel (petequias y púrpura) y el tejido de esas áreas puede morir (tornarse necrótico o gangrenoso).
