Meningococcemia en las pantorrillas

La meningococcemia es una infección peligrosa que ocurre cuando el meningococo Neisseria meningitidis invade el torrente sanguíneo. Puede implicar sangrado dentro de la piel (petequias y púrpura), así como la muerte del tejido implicado (necrosis o gangrena).
