Liquen plano en el brazo
El liquen plano es una enfermedad cutánea cuya causa es desconocida y que se caracteriza por la presencia de protuberancias purpúreas, abultadas, con múltiples caras (pápulas violáceas poligonales) y líneas blancas superficiales (estrías de Wickham), las cuales generalmente son pruriginosas y comprometen las muñecas (áreas flexoras), espalda baja (región lumbar), espinillas y tobillos. Con frecuencia, las mujeres resultan más afectadas que los hombres y la edad promedio de aparición es de 30 a 60 años.
