Giardiasis

La giardiasis es una infección intestinal causada por un protozoario y se propaga a través de agua contaminada o contacto con una persona infectada. Las personas que viajan o que hacen caminatas largas deberían asumir que las fuentes de agua están contaminadas y purificar el agua que consumen o tomar sólo agua potable. Los trabajadores de la salud deberían practicar una buena higiene cuando pasan de un paciente a otro. La persona infectada puede transmitir la giardiasis a su pareja a través del sexo anal sin protección.Giardiasis
