Beneficios de la vitamina C
El ácido ascórbico o vitamina C contribuye con muchas funciones del cuerpo, entre ellas, la absorción del hierro. Las grandes dosis de vitamina C generalmente no producen toxicidad porque, al ser una vitamina soluble en agua, ésta simplemente se expulsa a través de la orina. Las personas que tienden a padecer de cálculos en el riñón pueden encontrar que su situación se agrava con los suplementos de vitamina C o al tomarla en megadosis.
