Reflejos infantiles
Los médicos examinan y observan los reflejos infantiles para evaluar la función y el desarrollo neurológico. La ausencia de reflejos o presencia de reflejos anormales en un niño menor de un año, la persistencia de un reflejo después de la edad en que normalmente éste desaparece o la manifestación de un reflejo infantil en un niño mayor o en el adulto puede indicar problemas severos del sistema nervioso central, del tronco nervioso o de los nervios periféricos.
