Colelitiasis
Por lo general, el balance de sales biliares, lecitina y colesterol evita que se formen los cálculos biliares. Si existen niveles anormalmente altos de sales biliares o de colesterol, siendo este último más común, pueden formarse los cálculos. Los síntomas ocurren cuando los cálculos bloquean uno de los conductos biliares o puede que se los descubra a raíz de un examen de rutina de rayos X o una TC.
