Garrapatas del ciervo
Las garrapatas, por lo general, transmiten enfermedades tales como fiebre de las Montañas Rocosas, fiebre de la garrapata del Colorado, enfermedad de Lyme y turalemia. Otras enfermedades menos frecuentes son el tifus, la fiebre Q, la fiebre recurrente, la encefalitis viral, la fiebre hemorrágica y la babesiosis.
