Maniobra de Heimlich en niño menor de 1 año
La asfixia es bastante común. Las muertes por asfixia ocurren, por lo general, en niños menores de 3 años y en personas mayores, pero pueden ocurrir a cualquier edad. La maniobra de Heimlich ha salvado muchas vidas y puede ser aplicada por cualquier persona que haya aprendido la técnica.
