Proximal

Definición

Proximal significa más cerca del centro (tronco del cuerpo) o del punto de unión con el cuerpo. Si se da otro punto de referencia, como por ejemplo el corazón, el punto proximal de otro órgano o extremidad es el punto más cercano al corazón (central en lugar de periférico).

Proximal es lo opuesto a distal.
