Definición
Es cualquier sustancia producida durante el metabolismo (digestión u otros procesos químicos corporales).
En términos de medicamentos, un metabolito generalmente se refiere al producto que queda después de la descomposición (metabolismo) del fármaco por parte del cuerpo.
