Macrosomía

Definición

Es un tamaño corporal inusualmente grande y, con frecuencia, se utiliza para describir a un feto de gran tamaño.

Información

La causa más común de macrosomía es la diabetes materna. La macrosomía puede llevar a que se presente traumatismo durante el nacimiento y una posibilidad mayor de parto por cesárea.
