El sistema biliar produce, transporta, almacena y segrega bilis en el duodeno para ayudar en la digestión.

Este sistema comprende la vesícula biliar, conductos o vías biliares y ciertas células dentro del hígado, al igual que vías biliares por fuera de éste.
