Examen cutáneo de PPD

El derivado proteico purificado es un antígeno (sustancia que estimula el sistema inmunológico para que elimine o combata sustancias extrañas en el cuerpo) que se inyecta bajo la piel del antebrazo. Después de un lapso de 48 a 72 horas, el lugar de la inyección es evaluado por un médico.
